UPDATE: LINK UPDATED
Dear fellow Pakistanis,
Today I will share with you something many of us have been looking for,YES...a working root method to root Qmobile Noir A2. I would like to thank a member of XDA-Developers "Nagdrx" <<< remember this name folks...its all because of his research.
Now for the method but before that a warning:
I am not responsible for any mishap to your phone as a result of this method and you will be testing it at your own risk
So lets begin shall we?
BUT FIRST...
Before you proceed, make sure that you have MTK6575 and your recovery partition has the same start address and size. Otherwise the recoveries here won't work for you. The recovery partition address starts from 0x0980000 and has a size of 0x00500000 (5 MB). You can check yours using MTKDriod tools or by typing "cat /proc/mtd" in terminal (or using ADB shell).
so..lets boogie!!!
Stuff you'll need:
Hardware : MT6575
Model : A2
Build number : ALPS.GB2.MP.V2.2
Build date UTC : 20120621-045853
Android version : 2.3.6

- A Qmobile Noir A2 with the above mentioned specs.
- Qmobile Noir A2 Root Package. (Download) PW: pak-techblog
- A BRAIN...and i really mean it...you need a big brain which is not easily distracted
Procedure:
- Extract "Noir_A2_Root_Package.zip" - keep the destination in your BRAIN!
- In the extracted folder copy this file "CWM-SuperSU-v1.04.zip" to the root (main folder) of your SD card.
- Install drivers from "MT65x3 USB VCOM drivers" folder.
- Now remove the battery of your mobile for ten seconds and put it back in, do not turn on your phone (DO IT ...DONT ASK QUESTIONS)
- Open SP Flash tool, click "Scatter-loading" and select file "MT6573_Android_scatter.txt".
- Make sure ONLY "RECOVERY" is checked in partition and "recovery(CWM).img" file is selected.
- Press "f9" button on your keyboard and then plug in the phone to your computer with USB Cable within 12 seconds.
- Once it is done, you will see a notification and a Green Circle. If you see it... YOU ROCK!
- Boot into recovery by holding "volume +" and "volume -" and pressing the power key.
- Select "recovery mode" from the options. You SHOULD see recovery menu in a while showing "CWM v5.5.0.4 for Android 2.3.x" on top..
- Important : make a backup in recovery in case american army attacks your phone and destroys it. I will not help you and laugh at you if you break your phone :).
- In recovery menu, select "install zip from sdcard" -> "choose zip from sdcard" and select "CWM-SuperSU-v1.04.zip" file from sdcard, go for YES option. Wait for the flash to complete.
- Now select "reboot system now" option. Wait for the phone to reboot to normal mode.
YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE A ROOTED PHONE with SuperSU app installed, if you followed the steps correctly.

DeleteYou could try in the SuperSU app...open SuperSU...and then go to its settings....there will be an option to FULLY UNROOT...try it...and it will unroot your phone. However this method has been tested on ICS and JB but never on Gingerbread.
DeleteThanks for this 100% working method. I have successfully rooted my phone(a2).
ReplyDeleteAlso Thanks to "Nagdrx" for somehow finding this method.
Congrats Mustafa on rooting your a2. All praise to Nagdrx who managed to succeed where i failed :)
ReplyDeleteDo we need to enable "usb debugging" while connecting usb cabel with phone? plz tell the procedure i didnt able to root and restore :(
ReplyDeletesir, usb debugging is not required although its a good idea to enable it to avoid any problems. This is a fully working method as you can see in the comments of people who have successfully rooted their noir a2 phones
DeleteNow that I have rooted my phone(a2). Which custom rom to download and how to download it? In order to update a2 to ics.
ReplyDeleteLike i mentioned before, due to the lack of interest from qmobile in software, no ROMS are available. I was looking at a micromax a45 ROM yesterday, but i dont think its stable...will look into it further
Deletesir , I have noir a3 . . . I also want to root it . Please help me
ReplyDeleteSir,
DeletePlease understand that I am alone in doing all this and there are so many requests. I will be looking into a3 soon as soon as i solve some kinks with the a2 first.
u r great . . . . you are the one who solved our problem . . . . Love you and God bless you
DeleteDear Affan,
DeleteI am very much glad that i could help you, please also thank "Nagdrx" (real name not mentioned due to privacy) who was the one who actually found out the problem with A2 and solved it. I just compiled the general code but all in all thank you...and god bless you too. Keep visiting our site, many interesting things are yet to come.
Regards,
Hassan
Nice work I will go for it tonight with my A2... Before I root? I want to ask following to those who have successfully rooted their A2.
ReplyDelete1. >>>The most important for me<<<<< are you guys able to remove system apps to free internal memory??? This include Skype,Twitter,Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Facebook Swan, Talking Ton and Angry Birds??. Please answer my question if these can be deleted after rooting or not
2.>>>>>Has any one tried Link 2 SD to solve memory issue in noir A2<<<< if yes did it work or not?
3. >>>> What are your say about the performance of A2 after rooting. is it laggy, slower than before or excellent faster than before?
Any other info you can share will be really helpful.
Best Regards and looking forward to hear from you guys soon.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Anas
Dear Anas,
DeleteI would like to answer your questions in the order you asked them.
1. Yes you can uninstall those Qapps at your will with softwares such as root uninstaller or link2sd. But once you uninstall Qapps...you can not get them back. However you can individually install all those softwares from playstore once again.
2. Link2sd has worked flawlessly and many unwanted softwares were either removed or were sent to the sd card.
3. root has nothing to do with hardware performance, however clearing up internal memory by uninstalling software will definitely give it a boost in performance. Furthermore performance can be enhanced by installing softwares like PIMP MY ROM which offers many third party tricks and tips.
4. Do not forget to follow step 11. Make a backup once the CWM recovery is install...you may not know when you need it. I have been dealing with some complaints that we messed up and want to go back. YOU CANT GO BACK IN QMOBILES....so always make a backup before doing anything.
I hope this answers your querry,
Regards,
Hasan
Thanks for the well written answer of my query. I sure will apply your method on my A2 tonight. (of course won't forger step 11)
DeleteGood luck sir, may the force be with you :)
Deletein the flashing tool I'm experiencing this error.

delete the downloaded files and download them again. Please do not extract anything unnecessarily as this causes the files to act abonormally. Also copy the contents of a scatter file and create a new file in notepad with the same name as the original scatter file and use that. This will solve the problem you have mentioned.

Hasan
Thanks man,Now I got a rooted Phone.

My stock key board is deleted how to solve it i cannot write anything please tell how to solve this isue
DeleteTell you honestly, i never heard this type of a problem before :)...What exactly did you do that it got deleted...i need some information so i can think of a solution...did you accidently uninstall it?...did you create a backup following step 11?
DeleteI accidently uninstall it.I did not create backup unfortunately
DeleteWell i guess i have to highlight that step 11. The problem with Qmobile is that there is no software support from QMobile which can help us in matters such as this. Your best shot is to download this keyboard and install it:
Deletehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=655078&d=1310673264
If it doesnt work, i will have to dig deeper tomorrow. This is why you create backup :)
Regards,
Hasan
Thanks man You rock,I got the keyboard.
DeleteNow tell me can i install ICS OR JB on it
and how to disable the annoying vibration of lockscreen.
At the present moment there are no jb or ics Rom for a2 due to old hardware. To turn of the vibration I will have to look for a code in the build.prop of a2. It's not easy as one thinks :-)
Deleteany other ROM ?
DeleteHow to root qmobile a1
ReplyDeletePlease tell so that i can be happy
ReplyDeleteUmer Naeem, I am sorry to bring you this bad news...but at this moment there is no method to root the A1. That is because A1's specs are totally unknown...if you could extract the specs of A1 and share it with me...perhaps then i maybe able to know where to begin...at this moment i have no idea what A1 really is. I am very sorry for this,

Hassan

sir aap ne to post hi delete krdia
DeleteMein ny bohat se search ki Qmobile A2 ki rooting par lekin nai mila aur mein apne set ko sell karne laga tha k ap ka method mila is ko mein ny try kia aur ye root ho gya ..I am very happy .Allah ap ko har khushi dekhna naseeb kary aur ap k har koshish ka samar ap ko milta rahy (Ameen) and thankx again for this method.
ReplyDeleteDear Hamza,
DeleteBohat bohat shukria. Meri hamesha say koshish hui hay k jo kuch mainay seekha hay ya banaya hay us say doosroun ki madad ho sakay or meri fees aap ki dua nay poori kar di. Ainda bhi hamaray blog ko visit kartay rahiye ga or apnay dostoun ko is k baaray main bata ye ga zaroor. Again thank you very much sir for your kind words (agar mujh say urdu main koi ghalati ho gaye ho to maaf kijiye ga...meri urdu itni achi nahi...).
Regards,
Hasan
KOi baat nai sir ap ki urdu thik ha ... Ak baat pochni thi k RAM expande karne wala koi manual method ha to plz post kar den mein ny RAM Expander try kia lekin work nai kar raha ..PLz
DeleteThank you...unfortunately Qmobile per abhi tak RAM expand karnay ki sahoolat nahi hay...or na hi recommend kiya jaata hay k chinese sets ki RAM ko badlain kyun k is say set bohat unstable ho jata hay or baar baar hang ya restart hota hay.
DeleteSir mein ny apne sd card ki 3 partitions banai thi .. ( FAT32 , ext2 , Linux Swap ) lekin jb mein link2sd on karta hun aur woh select partition ka option deta ha aur mein usy select karta hun to woh kehta ha ( mount script not created and try again )..So plz is ka koi solution btayi ?
DeleteDear Hamza,
DeleteSir a Linux Swap partition or an ext 2 partition will not work if the kernel doesnt support it. That is a major reason we can not expand RAM on a qmobile phone, because the kernel doesnt support this feature. Lack of kernel development for chinese phones have lead us to make do with the stock kernel provided...hence all the trouble. My honest advice is to format your sd card with just FAT32 or FAT system and use it normally...you never know when a chinese phone decides to BREAK ON ITS OWN :).
Sir koi Tareeqa ha Qmobile A2 ka kernel version change karne ka? Plz explain in detail.
ReplyDeleteDear Hamza,
DeleteAs I have mentioned in my previous comment k Chinese phones ki kernel development next to 0 hay...and i will be very surprised k agar koi aik bhi kernel exist karti ho. The reason is k developers hamesha mainstream companies ki development kartay hayn like samsung, htc, lg etc. or Chinese phones ko ignore kiya jaata hay. To my knowledge abhi tak A2 ya A45punk ki koi kernel exist nahi karti.
Agar aap ko milay to please do share with me.
Regards,
Hasan
DEAR HASSAN I HAVE A PROBLEM
ReplyDeleteI ROOTED QMOBILE A2 AND I DIDN'T MAKED BACKUP OF IT .THE PROBLEM IS THROUGH LINK2SD PROGRAM I INTEGRATED THE SKYPE UPDATE WITH THE STOCK SKYPE NOW EVERY TIME I RESTART THE MOBILE THE FORCE CLOSE ERROR APPERS WITH A LOOP IT DOES NOT GO BACK AFTER I CLICK "FORCE CLOSE" IT AGAIN APPEARS I CAN'T DO ANYTHING PLEASE SEND THE BACKUP FILES IF YOU HAVE MADE ............................ PLEASE REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
Dear Ehtesham...
DeleteI think i need to highlight that step 11 because till now every problem which you guys are facing are because of no backup was created. And the backup files which i have wont work on your a2...so here is the remedy...keep on force closing it...and try to uninstall skype altogether from link2sd. I know it will be annoying but you have to fast to do this. I'm telling you this from my own experience and i have dealt with the same problem as yours...and what i did was somehow uninstall it through link to sd while closing it again and again and again...be patient and do it...and when its done, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make the backup.
Regards,
Hasan
it bricked no completely and got stuck at boot logo now what to do i don't know i don't have stock rom and neither custom rom at least give a try to backup files please share
Deletethrough xda i came to know that backup can be shared and can be used on other phpnes check this and please send me backup files as soon as possible waiting for your positive reply
Deletehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39125409&postcount=93
Dear Ehteasham,
DeleteFor some weird reason i knew you were gonna say that and the person who said that is a friend :). And we tried it with a couple of phones but the thing is that there are a lot of things which differs from one phone to another, like md5 sum and hardware ids, etc. The result was an unstable port and we ended up with a phone which was restarting after every 5 minutes :). Trust me when i say this that a back up of one phone "DOES NOT" work on another phone and I urge that if you do find a backup of another a2, try it on your own risk. I would never recommend it, meanwhile try what i mentioned before.
Regards,
Hasan
so caN YOU CAN GIVE ME a backup link
Deletethats what i love about you guys...always finding the easy way out and not wanting to do some chop chop :)...its uploading and as its a big file...it will take its time
Deleteso are you uploading it because the only hope left for me is this backup as i have rooted it so warranty is voided
Deletewell no...its not the only hope...i told you a solution...and you are just not trying it...and yes i am uploading it...this will take time...110mb to upload
Deletethe solution that you told me is possible when phone boot into the android os the solution is not possible beacuse my phone is stuckeed at boot screen and qmobile bnoir a2 logo appear this means the stock rom has broken
Deleteand thanks for uploading waiting for files
still waiting
ReplyDeleteMy applogies...but you see WAPDA is not kind these days. When the upload reached 72%. The UPS died and the net as well...doing it again as we speak
DeleteOh I almost forgot...another guy had faced the same issue...and i gave him a modded ROM which solved his issue...you can find it here...the stock is still uploading and ptcl evo is not helping..
Deletehttp://www.mediafire.com/?t479d2uhj44w2z1
and here you go...finally it uploaded...
Deletehttps://www.dropbox.com/s/4iee6hseahhyrm6/a2backup.rar
now its totally finished its even not turning on !
Deletethe files that you gave me i loaded them in spflashtool after i click download it got stuck and said searching although i have inserted battery and cable after i click download button
Deletecheck in the device manager that when you connect the phone, does the phone pics up correctly or does it shows a yellow sign beside it..the download gets stuck when the drivers of the phones are not detectable
Deleteya it become detectable for some time but after 10 second it goes i think the problem is with boot.img files the files that you gave me are of MYPHONE A818 DUO which is mt6373 And i have loaded them into QMOBILE A2 which is mt6375 due to which problem is occuring now the mobile is absolutely finished the firmware of this set is only qmobile can recover it if you have warranty and i loss my warranty due to scratches coming on my touch screen now i think i should throw this phone in dust bin if there is no chance to recover it
DeleteIs this rom working on noir a2?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.mediafire.com/?t479d2uhj44w2z1
HASAN I have the same problem as Ehteasham.I accidently formet system now i cannot do any thing I stuck at boot logo. Now what should I do.
ReplyDeleteI have six monhts warrenty.Should I gave it to them to insatll the stock rom again or warrenty is voided.
Please give me some solution.
just install the stock recovery included in the hassan package and make sure that no part of phone is broken or opened then goto the qmobile office and tell them that there is problem with software of your device they should get it back and if possible please ask them to gave the firmware files with you mobile phone and upload them to any website and gave it to me because i have here no support of qmobile as i am living abroad
DeleteHahaha...there is no support from qmobile even here...i went to their office here in Multan and asked if they had a stock firmware zip or sorts and they were like..."WHAT IS THAT". So that was why the backup part "STEP 11" was necessary. What i dont understand with these chinese phones is that sometimes one thing works on a phone and it doesnt work on another, not two hours ago i used the same backup on a phone and it ran into recovery from where i flashed that other rom...but on your phone it didnt work. Anyway i have figured out that Micromax A45 punk, A818 and Noir A2 are the same things, the micromax folk are running a818 stuff on a45, the a45 methods are being used on noir a2 and noir a2...well its noir a2...
Delete@Mukarram..
DeleteMaybe i should take this post down...its causing more harm then good...and no one is paying attention to step 11. And i told you before to create a backup...didnt i? why didnt you make one...??????
well hassan if you have succesfully installed the firmware of micromax a45 ,myphone a818 on noir a2 then please i am again syaing please can you give us a helping video about how to install so me and mukkaram can figure out the correct problem
Deleteand by the way there is another phone its name is FLY IQ245+ it is also similar to Noir a2 but one thing you figured that all these mobile are same i can't understand that as i have mentioned that
MICROMAX A45
MYPHONE A818 DUO
FLY IQ245+
have a processor chip of MT6373
whil NOIR A2 has chip of MT6375
actually they run on MT6573 and A2 runs 6575 which is true...but if you look at the scatter file which was used in rooting a2 it was the labelled 6573 and not 6575 and hence the whole dilemma about using the files and if you look at xda forums...its a mess there as well regarding these similar phones. What i would suggest it that you find NAGDRX ...he was the one actually who came up with this method...as per your request i will try to acquire a noir a2 ...at this moment i have a noir a6 so i'll be trying to get my hands on an a2 and finish this matter once and for all with a video...do find NAGDRX on XDA.
DeleteHasan I make a backup but it didnot work, probably I could not make backup in right way,Now all is gone what should I do?
DeleteI also tried to install this
Deletehttp://www.mediafire.com/?t479d2uhj44w2z1
but it didn not
You can try the method i told ehtesham...but it ended up bricking his phone whereas it worked on another phone...at this moment...the best thing is to wait for a stock rom dump of a2 or you could always try one of micromax a45 or A818...which are risky
ReplyDeletePlease tell me how to backup fully
ReplyDeleteand how to use backup for restore
Boot into recovery
DeleteGoto backup and restore
select backup...and thats about it
well hassan what about my phone can you please list the procedure and steps for doing backup of files that you gave mei will takeout my phone from dustbin and try it again may this time some haapens
DeleteLets make one thing clear, Its not my fault your phone ended up in a dustbin as I have mentioned it in the very beginning of this topic. Its because you didn't make a backup and uninstalled something which the phone needed because just linking SKYPE to SD CARD doesn't make your phone stuck on boot. The only method which worked for me I already shared with you. So till the matter is resolved, which it will, i suggest you take your phone out of the dustbin and keep it somewhere you can retrieve it.
DeletePlease forgive me if this sounds a bit harsh, but do consider that fact I am doing this alone and voluntarily and people think I am their personal slave. I work with whatever information there is available to me. At the present moment the occam's razor suggest that we wait for a more resolute solution. They once said that NOIR A2 was UNROOTABLE...it got rooted...Now we say that there is no chance of recovery from a brick state...give it sometime and someone will find it.
thanks for all your support well that usually not you fault its mine because i messed with it and i am joking that i have throne it in dustbin i have kept it in my drawl now wait and let's see if recovery files are available in next coming days hope for the best well awesome set it was.
DeleteCan we use rom porting metod in the link below to port ics rom (e.g. cm9 etc) without any danger?
ReplyDeleteapcmag.com/port-roms-to-your-android-device.htm
The above question about "porting rom" is about noir a2 with the specifications given in this "noir a2 100% working root method" thread by Hasan.
ReplyDeleteSir i have read through the given thread. The thing is that that method will work with most of the samsungs and htcs and lgs and motorollas...with chinese phones you can never predict the outcome. I would not recommend that on a chinese phone such as qmobile. The reason being a very very primitive kernel and almost 0 support from devs. Having said that one can only but try...but making a BACKUP before you try something like that is very important. If it was me...i would not port a CM ROM to qmobile.
Deletehow to delete audio beats completely.I installed it but now my music player forced closed?

ReplyDeleteyou are facing the same error which Mukarram Javed faced earlier. You can check it in the comments above. You have to copy the contents of a scatter file and create a new file in notepad with the same name as the original scatter file and use that. This will solve the problem you have mentioned.

ReplyDeleteYou can try to flash the stock rom for a2 with SP Flash Tools. Search for it on this blog.
ReplyDeleteThaNks HassaN bhai.AgaiN INvalid IMEI problem came.CaN u help?
Deletethat is predictable however the phone should be working i presume. The reason being that the stock ROM which can be found on the web is actually a backup from another Qmobile and is mentioned there. So a conflicting IMEI is predictable however the phone should be working.
Deletehowever you can solve the problem by copying file MPB_001 from another a2 (without this problem) to your phone... it will solve IMEI Problem. The A2 you are copying the file has to be rooted and you can find the file with the root explorer in this path below.
(data>nvram>mb>nvd_imei)
Above A2 root method can apply on this
