Hello,
Not moments ago I shared with you the method to root your Qmobile Noir A9 and now I've learned that there is a phone in Philippines which has the same specs as the Qmobile Noir A9, the Myphone A888 Duo. Fortunately for us there is a Jelly Bean ROM available for the A888 and following in the footsteps of Qmobile Noir A10 which used Micromax A110 Canvas 2's ROM, you can install the ROM for A888 on your A9. Lets get started...
Warning: This ROM is not tested by me and you will be doing so on your own will. I will not be responsible for any damage to your phone. Make a backup first as suggested in Step 3.
Stuff You'll Need:
- A rooted Qmobile Noir A9 with CWM recovery
- Jelly Bean ROM (Download) DO NOT EXTRACT IT
- Good Luck!!!
Installing the Jelly Bean ROM on your A9
- Copy the downloaded Jelly Bean ROM zip in the main folder of your SD card.
- Reboot into recovery.
- Goto "Backup and Restore" (move up and down with volume keys and power button to select). Once there click on "Backup" and the recovery will start making a backup of your current ROM. This step is optional. But if things go bad...this will save you...i promise.
- Go to "Wipe Data/ Factory Reset"...DO IT....and then "Wipe Cache" and then go to advanced and "Wipe Dalvik"...Now your phone is totally empty.
- In the main menu of recovery, select "Install Zip from SD" card and then "Choose Zip from SD Card"
- Select the "YONIP_A888_JellyBean_4.1.2(FIXED).zip" from the list and install it...YES install it.
- wait for the ROM to install and then after everything is done, Reboot. (First reboot may take a few minutes)
- ENJOY!!!!
